Membership Grades

• Chartered Engineer (CaBIOSH): We certify professionals who develop innovative solutions to complex engineering problems. These individuals apply advanced technical analysis and creativity, with academic knowledge equivalent to a master's degree.

• Certified Engineer (CeBIOSH): We recognize engineers who manage and maintain the application of evolving technologies, engaging in design, development, and operational management. Their expertise typically aligns with bachelor's-level education.

• Engineering Technician (EngBIOSH): For technicians who apply proven engineering techniques and practical problem-solving skills, we offer certification that acknowledges their hands-on experience and training, often equivalent to NVQ/SQV level 3.

• Fellow (FeBIOSH): This senior-level membership honors engineers with exceptional experience and leadership in mechanical engineering. It is reserved for those who have made significant contributions to both the profession and the wider engineering community.

• Affiliate Membership (AffBIOSH): We welcome apprentices, students, and anyone with an interest in engineering. This membership is designed for individuals studying STEM subjects, providing a platform for early career development and networking.

• Associate Membership (AscBIOSH): For those holding a degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics and working towards professional registration, we offer Associate membership to help bridge the gap between academic achievement and professional accreditation.
